Nerd News Roundup

Captain America 2

Comicbookmovie has some info on shooting locations and speculation about what it all means. It’s pretty much rumor mongering, but we nerds live for this sort of stuff… only usually to be extremely disappointed and outraged when the movie doesn’t live up to our imaginings.

Speaking of movies that failed to live up to nerd expectations…

The Hobbit 2: In which Bilbo and company, no doubt, get slightly closer to the mountains because we had to pad this out to three movies because nobody could say no to Peter Jackson and we honestly thought we could make lightning strike twice.

Hey, look, there’s Evangeline Lilly as new character Tauriel.

"For the last time, Navi, shut up!"

“For the last time, Navi, shut up!”

She makes a very pretty Rule 63 Link from the Legend of Zelda cosplayer.

What? This is a major motion picture financed with millions of dollars and not a comic book convention?

Sigh…

X-men: Days of Future Past

And lastly, here is a photo of Michael Fassbender hovering ominously as Magneto, who to me was pretty much the hero of the last movie because seriously, the US government that they were working for, tried to kill them with missiles after they saved the US and the Russians from nuclear Armageddon, and I’d probably be a little cranky too.

It's really disgusting that there is anyone on the planet good looking enough to pull off wearing clothes from the 70's.

I’m guessing he won’t be happy at all when he hears about Nixon’s giant death robots.

Yep. That's the one.

Yep. That’s the one.
