But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; 5 and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? 6 He is not here, but He has risen. Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, 7 saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” 8 And they remembered His words,9 and returned from the tomb and reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel
Judy Greer has been cast as Cordellia the damn, dirty apes female lead.
Since the video game was rebooted and fairly well-received, MGM is rebooting the franchise. No word yet on who Lara Croft will be played by.
Spider-man 2-2 (Spiderman 2er; The 2nd Spiderman 2; Spiderman Tutu: Dance Spidey Dance!)
ComicBookMovie has some spoilers for the sequel. Take them with a pretty large grain of salt.
First up, Electro (Jamie Foxx). We’re told he will not be wearing anything close to his classic green and yellow outfit, and to “think Ultimate version”. Again, not really unexpected.
The character’s civilian alter ego Max Dillon will be an Oscorp employee – oh, and that pic Webb tweeted with the morgue number? Nothing at all to do with Venom (no Eddie Brock appearance either) it’s actually where Dillon is taken after his “accident”. We’re told there will be no Green Goblin in this movie but LOTS of teasers and foreshadowing for the next movie – apparently Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) hasn’t been cured yet and is still dying. Now for the big spoiler
You’ll have to go over there for it if you want to be spoiled.
It’s coming back! Woo-hoo!
For the Holidays.
Metal Gear Solid
I know what you’re thinking, “What? This is a video game! What’s this doing here?” But if you’ve ever played any of the Metal Gear games lately, you’ll know that a good 80% of them are cut scenes and 20% of them are letting you move your character from cut scene to cut scene, so it’s a movie.
Anyway, despite having the series main protagonist get all old and busted and giving the series some closure, it looks like they’re dusting Solid Snake off for one more adventure because the last game made all the money, so plot be damned, get out there Old Man and make us more money!
The game was officially revealed with an amazing trailer running in realtime on the studio’s new FOX engine. The game was running on a PC build, Kojima said, not saying which consoles this will be on. UPDATE: A press release about the game from the publisher Konami says the game is slated for PS3 and Xbox 360. No mention of next-gen platforms, which we’ve followed up and asked them about.
The trailer opens with what appears to be Snake, hero of the long-running third-person stealth-action series, falling into a coma. Doctors struggle to revive him. But then it switched to show what looked like an old Snake shooting people from a helicopter.
Kotaku has the trailer up.
